Having a comfortable environment to work in is the requirement of every person. Office chair plays a vital role in making your office a comfortable place to work in. Your employees spend more than half of their time in their chairs and if those chairs are uncomfortable then it will badly affect their working quality which eventually will affect your business. There are hundreds of types of office chairs available nowadays therefore you must be very careful and must make a check list of your requirements so that you choose the best for yourself and your employees.
When determining the correct height to have your office chair at, first make sure to place it in front of the desk or work area you will be spending most of your time at. If you have a keyboard tray installed underneath your desk, you will also need to take that into consideration when deciding the correct height your office chair should be at. Keep in mind that you will want to have a good amount of clearance between your keyboard tray or desk and your thighs to enable you to work more comfortably. With a little bit of pressure exerted by you while pushing or pulling the button or lever below the seat, you may easily have the chair‘s height go down. If you get off your chair and pull or push that same button or lever you can just as easily have the chair‘s height go up.
Painted metal chairs are among the least expensive of these chairs. They make an excellent choice for many institutions. A quick wipe down cleans the chairs for the next event. The chairs offer a long life and require little maintenance. The smaller sized chairs allow maximum seating for the event and are often a good choice for meals or banquets. Chairs with metal frames and plastic backs and seats cost about the same as metal chairs. They are not as durable but are lighter in weight and slightly more comfortable. Once you have determined where your chair mat will be used and the dimensions of your work area, it is time to decide the actual mat you would like to purchase. Roller mats come in both solid, clear, and as aforementioned different colors of bamboo. Clear mats are sometimes preferred over others if you are looking to have it blend in with the office and carpeting. Some prefer a solid color that will stand out, however, if you get new carpet later your mat may not match up with the original carpet color. Bamboo is always a safe option because it blends well with any pre-existing carpet color scheme and comes in a variety of colors to match your hardwood floors.
Next you will want to determine the area the mat is going to be used. You want to have a mat that will cover enough of the floor for you to be able to at the very least roll back to get out of your chair. It is best to use a tape measurer and measure from the desk outward to see how far the mat should extend before your purchase. Most chair mats are sold in multiple sizes to accommodate most desk areas and are large enough for regular uses. Measurements can be found in product spec and information area, so it is good to have your desk areas measurements prepared beforehand. If you typically like to roll your chair from one desk to another or between two areas it is best to get the largest mat possible.
